CP Clare - Clare Inc - IXYS  Company Overview

Clare, Inc., formerly CP Clare Corporation, was founded in 1937 by Carl P. Clare to provide high-voltage switching technology to a growing telecommunications market. Over the past 70 years, Clare has built upon this high-voltage expertise, evolving from a manufacturer of electromagnetic components to a leader in silicon solutions for the last inch of the last telecommunications mile. Clare, Inc. designs, manufactures and markets optically isolated solid state relays (OptoMOS), mixed-signal custom ASICs and ASSP integrated circuits (ICs) for the telecommunications market.

In June 2002, Clare, Inc. was acquired by IXYS Corporation and is now a wholly-owned subsidiary of IXYS.

IXYS Corporation designs, manufactures, and markets a broad spectrum of power semiconductors, including Power MOSFETs, IGBTs, Ultra-fast Reverse Recovery Diodes, silicon and gallium arsenide Schottky diodes, thyristors and rectifiers, Multi-chip Modules, DCB ceramic substrates and Power Interface Integrated Circuits for the global power market.
