GaAsTek - MA-Com - Tyco - MA-Com Tech  Company Overview

GaAsTEK has been at the forefront of Gallium Arsenide (GaAs) Integrated Circuit (IC) technology since the early 1980s. GaAsTEK's patented and unique GaAs MMIC process, called Multifunction Self-Aligned Gate (MSAG) provides excellent power amplifier performance and allows the integration of multiple circuit functions (e.g., power, low-noise, switch, and digital) onto a single MMIC. GaAsTek was acquired by M/A-Com, a division of Tyco Electronics, in 2000. Tyco sold the M/A-Com RF Components and Subsystem Business to Cobham plc in May, 2008. Subsequently, the M/A-Com commercial business unit was sold to a California-based private equity firm and now operates as M/A-Com Technology Solutions.
