ITW Paktron  Company Overview

ITW Paktron has been manufacturing film capacitors since the late 1950s. Paktron and its parent company, Illinois Tool Works Inc., hold in excess of seventy-five patents for film capacitor and machine design. Paktron specializes in multilayer, polymer film electronic capacitors. Products featured are the Surface Mount Chip Capacitors, Miniature Radial Capacitors, Lead-Framed MLP Capacitors and R-C Network and Snubber Capacitors. Paktron uses Dielectric films that include PET - HT (low shrinkage PET), PPS, and OPP. The metallized electrode used in Paktron's proprietary process assures reliable operation. Multilayer Polymer (MLP) surface mount, chip, and lead framed capacitors are replacing MLC (ceramic) capacitors in higher voltage and reliability-sensitive equipment. This includes the popular - 48 volt telecom bus and offline HVAC and PFC front ends.
