Medtronic Microelectronics (formerly Medtronic Micro-Rel) develops and provides full custom integrated circuits, IC foundry services and custom microelectronics for a wide range of industries and companies. Founded in 1973, Medtronic Micro-Rel has developed virtually all of the sophisticated microelectronics and circuitry used in Medtronic's implantable therapies, such as pacemakers, defibrillators and neurostimulation systems. Medtronics Microelectronics focuses on analog and mixed signal integrated circuit design and fabrication. Using its expertise in ultra-low power and power management, skills developed in support of Medtronic implantable products, the the company provides its customers with a wide range of power options.
