RO Associates - Astrodyne  Company Overview

Founded in 1963, RO designed the first commercial 20KHz switching power supply, the 5V 10A Model 210, in 1967. Dedicated to quality and technology for the past 38 years, RO continues to design and manufacture a complete line of high-efficiency, high-quality DC-DC converters from 40- 600W and AC-DC PFC modules from 600-1000W for telecom, industrial, commercial, and quasi-military applications.

RO has a state-of-the-art Surface Mount Technology manufacturing facility plus Automatic Test and Burn-In located in Sunnyvale, California. In addition, RO has two off-shore licensees capable of producing high-volume, low-cost products under technical license.

RO Associates was acquired by Astrodyne Inc. in March, 2010.
