EGG Vactec - PerkinElmer Opto - Excelitas  Company Overview

EG&G was incorporated in 1947 to further Electro-Optic research and development. In 1983, EG&G purchased Vactec, an Optoelectronics technology and application leader. In 1999, EG&G changed its name to PerkinElmer, and the optoelectronics division was renamed PerkinElmer Optoelectronics. Excelitas Technologies was formed in November, 2010 as a spin off from PerkinElmer.
