ELAN Microelectronics Corporation was established in May 1994 in Hsinchu Science-Based Industrial Park - the Silicon Valley of Taiwan. ELAN is a joint venture between Hualon Microelectronics Corp., Kuohua Life Insurance Company Ltd., and E-hsin International Corp. ELAN is one of the few fabless IC design companies in Taiwan with multiple product lines, including Telecom, Consumer, Micro-controller, PC peripheral, and Memory products.
