GE Solid State - Harris - Intersil  Company Overview

GE Solid State was formed as a division of GE, Inc. In the mid-80s, GE Solid State acquired both Intersil (the original one) and RCA. In 1988, the aggregated GE Solid State division was sold by GE to Harris Corporation. Later, Harris Corporation spun off its Semiconductor Sector as the independent company Intersil Corporation.
