These products are used mostly in the man-to-machine interface, for the detection of motion, short-range signaling, and fiber communications. Lumex offers thousands of products, with an emphasis on both application-specific and customer-specific product offerings for the Global marketplace. Lumex was acquired by ITW in November, 2004 and now operates as a subsidiary company in the ITW Photonics Group.
