Lumileds - Philips Lumileds  Company Overview

Lumileds Lighting BV was formed in November, 1999 and was initially a joint venture between Agilent Technologies and Philips, each with 50% ownership. In August, 2005, Philips acquired Agilent's ownership position, and the company is now named Philips Lumileds Lighting Company. Philips Lumileds Lighting Company is the world's leading manufacturer of high-power LEDs and a pioneer in the use of solid-state lighting solutions for everyday purposes including automotive lighting, computer displays, LCD televisions, signage and signaling and general lighting.
