Viking Electronics, Inc. was acquired by WPI Interconnect Products in July, 1994 and now operates as WPI Viking.

Founded in 1971, Wire-Pro, Inc. (WPI) manufactures one of the industry's largest offerings of industrial, commercial and military connectors and cable assemblies. WPI is also one of the few companies that can provide full vertical integration services through the diverse capabilities of its eight global divisions. WPI was acquired by Cooper Industries in January, 2007.
