Babcock - Microsemi  Company Overview

Babcock is one of the nation's leading engineering and manufacturing companies for high-reliability power supplies, relays, and flat panel displays. Babcock supplies state-of-the art applications to a broad spectrum of military, aerospace, and industrial/commercial customers.

In 1977 Babcock was acquired by Electro-Module, Inc. and became Babcock Electro-Mechanical, Inc. The product offerings were expanded to include electronic, as well as electromechanical products. With the additional acquisition of flat panel displays from Beckman Industrial in 1984 and hybrid microelectronics from Hydelco in 2000, the company expanded beyond the military/aerospace market to serve industrial/commercial markets as well, orgainizing the company into four product groups: Electronic Products Division, Electro-Mechanical Products Division, Display Products Division, and Micro-Electronics Divison.

Babcock was acquired by Microsemi in 2008.
