Gemplus  Company Overview

Gemplus was founded in 1988, at the very start of the development of smart card technology. Today, Gemplus provides digital security systems and components based on smart cards. To do this, we manufacture smart cards, create the operating systems, software and hardware to go with them, and provide a number of other associated services. Consumers use our products everyday, as the SIM card in their mobile telephones, or as the banking cards, loyalty program cards, travel tickets, passports and ID cards in their wallets.
