Valence  Company Overview

Founded in Hong Kong in 1985, Valence Tech, Ltd. is a fabless mixed-signal communications semiconductor company specializing in the design of highly integrated, advanced silicon solutions that enable the transmission of voice, video, audio and data within home and office network environments.

The company's integrated circuits are targeted for OEM customers who cover such markets as broadband access, in-building networking, residential broadband gateways, digital media, and global positioning systems. Valence is one of only a handful of companies with proven success in providing high-speed, mixed-signal and RF (radio frequency) semiconductors in deep sub-micron CMOS and provides highly integrated reference designs and systems with industry leading efficiency in cost, power consumption and size.

Valence was acquired by SRS Labs in 1998 and was subsequently spun off as an independent company again in a management-led buyout in July, 2006.
