Vitramon, Inc., based in Monroe, Connecticut, is a premier manufacturer of multilayer ceramic capacitors (MLCCs) targeting automotive, commercial, military and medical applications.

Vitramon capacitors feature a technology well-suited to highly demanding processing environments, where ruggedness, high reliability and exceptional quality are required. Vitramon chip styles are available in 12 industry standard footprint sizes from 0402 to 3640 and 8 different dielectric materials. Voltages from 25 V to 3000 V and models for use in operating temperatures up to 150C are offered.

Vitramon, Inc. was acquired by Vishay Intertechnology in July, 1994.

Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. was founded in 1962 to manufacture and market foil resistors. The Company began operations with foil resistors and strain gages as its initial product offerings. In 1985, having grown from a start-up into the world's leading manufacturer of these original products, Vishay began an ongoing series of strategic acquisitions to become a broad-line manufacturer of electronic components that provides "one-stop shop" service to customers.
